Select/Create FileCabinet Drawer

The process of creating Drawers differs according to whether the client is integrated or not

Integrated client: With integrated clients, only Digita Practice Management can create or select a Drawer for the client. The DMS drawer field will be read-only in Accounts Production Advanced from Digita.

Non-integrated clients: The DMS Drawer field is active and can be created and managed from within Accounts Production Advanced from Digita.

Once FileCabinet has been set up as your document management system, create a new Drawer in Accounts Production Advanced from Digita, as follows:

  1. Open a non-integrated client.
  2. Select the General link on the Summary tab.
  3. Click the ellipsis (...) button to open the Select File Cabinet Drawer dialog.
  4. Select the Drawer from the list and click OK. The selected Drawer ID is applied to your Accounts Production Advanced from Digita client.
  5. Alternatively, click New to open the Create New FileCabinet Drawer dialog.
  6. Either accept the new suggested Drawer ID or enter your own unique Drawer ID.
  7. Enter a Drawer Name.
  8. Click OK to close the dialog. The new Drawer appears in the Select FileCabinet Drawer dialog.
