oHow to use the Knowledgebase

The Knowledgebase should contain all the information you need on each of the software products you use. The left-hand pane is used for navigation and displays the Knowledgebase tree. The right-hand pane will show the support information for a particular item within the tree, once it has been selected.

Searching for information

When using the Knowledgebase, a good way to start is by searching for key words. Simply click on the search tab and enter key words. The Knowledgebase will then display the relevant pages containing that word or phrase.

To search for a phrase, enter the phrase within double quotation marks, for example "foreign dividends".

A more detailed explanation of the search facility can be found in Using the search facility.

Once you have selected a page from the search results to view, you may click on the locate icon to take you to the area of the tree where that page is located. This is also useful if you find an item in your search results and wish to find other related items from the tree.

Browsing for information

You may also use the tree to browse for information. The tree displays the hierarchy of support information that can be expanded or collapsed using the or symbol next to each folder name. Depending upon the complexity of a menu structure, there may be several levels of submenus to navigate through to reach specific pages. Highlighting a item in the left-hand navigation frame will load the support information in the browser.

Hypertext links

You can navigate between related pages via the hypertext links (in which a word or phrase appears in coloured underlined text).

To allow quick access to the Knowledgebase, add it to your list of favourites. To do this select Favourites, Add to favourites above or click on the Favourites icon.

Support

In the first instance you should try to use the Knowledgebase to find the answer to your particular query. The system has been designed to use words, errors and phrases from the software to make this search for a solution easier. If for any reason you think the answer provided is insufficient, then please let us know and we will do our best to address the situation.

For all other support queries, you can telephone your support helpline.
